Aerinstone Launches!

After a long and sometimes arduous process I am pleased to announce the release of the third installment of The Drayenmark Saga ; Aerinstone.

As of Wednesday, June 3rd, Leeds County Books in Brockville will be selling the new novel both in store and also by special order by email at books@leedscountybooks.com . Other bookstores, including Leishman's in Ottawa, will quickly be receiving their own shipments as the week progresses. Look for an update on current locations very soon.

I am also happy to announce our launch signing at Leeds County Books. From 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 6th, I will be signing books at the store. I welcome any and all fans of the series who live in the Ottawa-Kingston area to drop by and chat.

And finally, to all of those of you who have been so patient for the arrival of the new book, I am anxiously awaiting to hear from you once you've had a chance to read Aerinstone. I hope you will be as pleased as I am with the final product.

Safe Journeys,

Mike

Aerinstone finishing touches.

Wow! What a busy few months I've had. I am pleased to announce not only that I have attained the final editing stages of the new book but I have also been blessed with the birth of a healthy boy and girl, our first two!

Hudson and Molly were born on February 2nd and have obviously taken up alot of my time in the last few weeks. Twins can do that to you. <grin>

But regardless, the book remains on schedule, becoming available in the next few weeks. After a printing of a proof copy to double check any inconsistencies and what not, things will move very quickly. At that time I will update once more where Aerinstone can be purchased and of course will look very forward to hearing from any who read the series. Once again, I can't reinterate enough how pleased I am with the product, everything from the cover on down.

I hope you are all as excited as I am!

Safe Journeys to you always,

Mike

Aerinstone Update

Hello everyone,

As work continues and the end of the road is in sight, I felt it was time to remind you all that I am still out here and have narrowed down the release date for Aerinstone : Part III of the Drayenmark Saga as early March, 2009.

I have to thank you all for your patience and can honestly say I am very happy with the book, something that every writer I'm sure dreams of. As an added bonus, I have attached the beautiful new cover of the book, created of course by the talented Michael Leadingham.

I hope you all enjoy and you can click the picture for a larger version should you so desire. The title words and spine are simply there to give you an idea as to how the finished product will look.

Enjoy!

Walking a long, winding road...

Hello everyone!

Life sometimes grabs you by the neck, holding on and never relinquishing its iron grip. In my case, I have managed in the last year to get engaged, get married and even buy a new house with my lovely wife. Needless to say the 'real world' has taken a demanding toll on this author.

But there is little to fear, I am now, with the summer fast approaching, in a position to continue and finish my work on the third installment of The Drayenmark Saga : Aerinstone. Although in writing this novel I found myself far more challenged then ever before, I am pleased to report that all is well in Old Caleria. New characters have fit in well with old favourites, each and every one finding thier own voices and the fast paced action of H'rothgarr continues without missing a beat as Aerinstone first deals with the events left unresolved in the Winter season.

And so, although it has been a much longer and far more winding road this time around, don't worry or fear that I have left the journeys of Leoric, Gavin and Alessan behind. Thanks for the patience, continued kind words of support, and check back more often now for updates on my writing as the weather gets warmer.

Safe Journeys to you all,

M.G. Belanger

Updated Listings.

Wow! The time spent at Book Expo was unbelievably rewarding. I met a ton of interesting people, all book lovers like myself who really made the whole experience worthwhile. Our little booth attracted alot of attention and I couldn't have been any happier with the outcome.

From pure book lovers to book store owners to members of the large publishing houses, the time at Book Expo really opened my eyes to the business aspect of the writing world. The people were polite, well spoken and themselves came from such varied backgrounds that inevitably each encounter was different in its own right. Special mention to Peter Halasz from the Sunburst Awards for taking the time to drop in and chat with me. What a treat it was to debate fantasy authors and the pleasure was all mine!

Since that weekend, I am proud to be able to update the listing on where both Aeldenwood and H'rothgarr can now be found. I will do my best to attach some pictures as well.

New List

Leeds County Books, 71 King Street West, Brockville.

Bakka-Phoenix, 697 Queen Street West in Toronto.

The Novel Idea, 156 Princess Street in Kingston.

McNally Robinson in Winnipeg.

McNally Robinson in Calgary.

McNally Robinson in Saskatoon.

Lieshman's, Westgate Shopping Centre, Ottawa.

Again, anyone not living in those direct areas has onll to fire off an email to books@leedscountybooks.com and they will be more than willing to help you out. As of now Leeds County Books has shipped orders out to England, the Netherlands and Texas among others.

With a few more bookstores in the works already, the orders are starting to come in and it is hard to fight the excitement at picturing the Drayenmark Saga up on as many shelves as possible!

Safe Journeys,

Mike
